Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure that all available “compounding” tanks and equipment (hoses, pumps, totes etc) are clean and sanitized.  40%

• Clean and sanitize tanks and equipment (hoses,   pumps, totes etc) in the right “priority” as directed. (or based   on production requirements)
• Ensure that tank   and equipment (hoses,   pumps, totes etc) cleaning and   sanitizing meets MCP standards and requirements.  40%
• Ensure that all   Apex and government regulations are met in the cleaning and sanitizing of the   tanks.

Ensure the transfer of products is   done in a safe and timely manner without jeopardizing quality. 40%

• Accurately record weights for totes and   drums, and stage for warehouse locations.
• Transfer bulk   fills into appropriate vessels and accurately completes paperwork for shipment.

Document the cleaning and sanitizing of all tanks and equipment in the designated logs. 10%

• Ensure the timely and accurate documentation of all cleaning and sanitizing of tanks, totes, and equipment is completed.
• Process excess inventory transactions accurately and efficiently.

Understand and maintain a culture of “lean action” within the department so that we live lean better than any organization. 5%

• Implement and maintain standards and processes that eliminate waste   throughout the department.
• Apply and   utilize “lean tools” to permanently implement improvements.
• Institutionalize 5-S in all aspects of the department. (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, and   Sustain)
• Embraces Lean thinking and seeks to drive waste from their work.

Qualification and Skill Requirements:

Prior Experience:

• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Experience with sanitation required.
• Experience in quality and 5s in a lean environment a plus.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

• To be effective, this position requires fluency in the English language, an ability to follow directions and written processes and procedures.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and be able to work with fractions and decimals.
• Must be 18 years old
• This position requires a High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass all applicable Sanitizing and MCP training programs/tests. Ability to view and utilize a computer- basic e-mails and printing forms.
• Certified to operate and electric forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
• Ability to multitask and prioritize

Technical Competencies:

• Need to read and write at a 12th grade level.
• Can read and follow procedures, processes and specifications written in English.
• Can demonstrate attention to detail.
• Can follow directions accurately and safely.

Work Requirement:

This position may require significant work hours beyond the normal workday based on the demands of the business cycle, customer volume of business, and specific sales efforts underway. It requires reliable transportation. It has a moderate to high demand for tight deadlines. This position does entail work of a cyclical nature. This position will experience moderate interruption in workflow, starting and stopping for product changeovers. It has no requirement for overnight or day travel.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires:

• Continuous (6 to 10 hours per day) bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs/ladders, reaching, lifting and grasping.
• Continuous (6 to 10 hours per day) standing and walking.
• Continuous (6 to 10 hours per day) talking, communicating, and repetitive hand/wrist movement.
• Frequently (4-6 hours per day) moving and lifting objects, sometimes 50 lbs
• Sensory requirements: Good eyesight, normal hearing, and fluent in the English language.

Working Conditions:

• Indoors, seasonally hot and humid.
• Will be exposed to various fragrances or alcohol fumes which at times may be at elevated levels.
• May get wet from cleaning tanks

Work Schedule:

This position usually works for 8-10. However, hours of work are flexible and will fluctuate based on the needs of the business and the customers. The job may require a maximum of 5-20 hours of work beyond the normal 40 work-week schedule depending on work demands. The work hours can vary depending on customer requirements and staffing.
